Front and back paper binder for G. Kearsing's Staniel Foil, 49 Lispenard St., NY. Front of binder has a 1" center hole which once held an 1847-O $10 gold coin (PCGS AU55), sold in an early SSCA sale. This book of dental foil was in the Easton trunk. Staniel foil appears to be for cavity filling, or broken tooth capping. Kearsing advertised this product from 1853-1854 only, with all the advertisements near NY/NJ/CT. Some foil sheets remain in the book. 4.75x4.5x1"..The lot also includes a dental tooth cap made from white material, about .5x 3/8".
