Our Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016 auction is a simultaneous live and internet event with 1,800 lots split over three days. Here is a general breakdown of the 3 days, all of which feature different collecting categories:
DAY ONE (Sept. 30th)
*The Ken Prag Western Pass Collection: Nearly 1,000 railroad, stagecoach, steamship and express passes incl. important autographs such as Jay Gould, Otto Mears, and Leland Stanford.
*Western Bottles: Following up on the great 49er Bottle Show in Sacramento, we have more rare, pristine, unusual, and special bottles in this auction.
DAY TWO (Oct. 1st)
*Western U.S. Placer Gold & Ingot Collection: From small nuggets to 1.8 troy ounce nuggets to gold specimens weighing over 7 troy ounces. Also, a William Sharon Presentation Dinner Ingot!
*Montana Tokens, Postal History, Ephemera, Books & Gaming Chips: A fabulous selection featuring more great items from the Svoboda Collection and others.
DAY THREE (Oct. 2nd)
*Our General Americana section featuring a wide variety of Western treasures: scales, a strong box, badges, ribbons, jewelry, watches, and a large collection of important and rare books (Nevada and California History, 1st Editions, Military, Native Americana, Biographies, Presidential, etc.).
