This Colt model 1877 Thunderer double action revolver marked in sterling silver "101" on the right grip, built in 1888. This Colt functions very well in both single and double action. Excellent bore 4 1/2 in. barrel. The gun and holster have been together since the turn of the century with the 101 Miller Brothers Ranch Wild West Show which included the cowboy Tom Mix and the elderly Buffalo Bill Cody. A wonderful piece of the famous Wild West Shows of the late 19th century and early 20th century Western Entertainment. A by-gone era that has roots in adventure and excitement on the American frontier.

The early 20th century beaded holster accompanies the .41. cal. Colt revolver S/N 723XX. The belt is stamped "MADE ON 101 RANCH BLISS O.T.." (Oklahoma Territory) near the buckle with 14 dome silver conchos and is beaded in the post-reservation Sioux style. The beads are all antique finish and unrestored. There are 10 colors on this beaded holster for a spectacular Sioux display.

There is an inclusive photo album with this lot that is of the 1914 period in the 101 Ranch history. The photography is worth the purchase price alone. State: City: Date: ID# 49648
