A French Musket with Belgian proof marks from the late 17th century to early 18th century, currently in Percussion format but most likely converted from Flintlock. 36” Barrel, 52” Overall and in approximately 69 caliber. Ramrod is missing. Theses early muskets that generally saw battle were converted to percussion shotguns on the secondary civilian market once their military use was no longer needed. Furniture is in good shape, the firing mechanism works well, and the barrel is 9” octagon and 27” round. A great wall hanger or project gun. ANTIQUE. City: State: Date: ID# 38101
