Thirteen leaf variety 1795 Capped Bust $10 gold. Designed by Robert Scot, reeded edge; 33 mm; 17.50 grams; mintage: 5,083. 91.7% gold, 8.3% copper. 400-500 known. CAC deemed it polished, but it may not appear so.we believe its EF condition. The first 400 eagles were made September 17, 1795. This coin was of particular interest to George Washington, who Bowers and Adams noted, he wanted them finished before he left office.
