16 pages. Report by Prof. Fred A. Genth, "Together with an Assay of the Ores by Him, and also by Prof. M.H. Boye." Articles and By-Laws make up the first 13 pages. Genth's report begins on page 14. The mine contains copper and nickel ore. Genth believes that the nickel will pinch out at depth, but the copper should increase. He doesn't sound like he had access to enough of the vein to make big conclusions, though. He wants the shaft sunk to a depth of 120 feet to intersect and open the vein from both sides. Only then can he determine where the main shaft should be sunk. He also notes that the old workings he was given to study indicate a big water presence. Printed by Grattan & McLean, Philadelphia. Condition: bent cover, heavy foxing, some handwritten notations. City: Lancaster County State: Pennsylvania Date: 1851 ID# 34834
