Important 28 page report from a very prominent mining geologist (Hill) with four fabulous maps with geological detail. Reports by Samuel W. Hill (superintendent), L.W. Campbell (clerk) and Charles Whittlesey (esq.). The property is 1700 acres on Lake Superior, including the port of Eagle River. Hill's report is 13 pages. Samuel W. Hill was a geologist and surveyor who was a very important figure in Michigan Copper country. What makes this report so great are the mining maps.
