This letter is asking that the estate of J. G. Storey pay James robertson for teaching school. Signed by William B Storey. Storey was born in England and arrived in San Francisco in 1852. He was one of the pioneer express messengers for Wells Fargo. He was also a member of the San Francisco Vigilance Committee. [History of Butte COunty by Mansfield] Must be an interesting story here!
