Ten distinct quartz veins, two inspected by Jackson: purple copper ore, copper glance, yellow copper pyrites and magnetic iron ore. Jackson argues that "owing to the favorable position of the copper-bearing veins, it is practicable to attack them by driving levels or adits into the hill directly on the line of veins."
