Lot of 2. Both are from Sam. Wasserman for interest in the Birdsall Claim. 1) Indenture dated June 10th, 1862 between Sam. Wasserman of Virginia City and Geo. D. Keeny. $500 for 30 feet undivided in the Birdsall Company Claims located on the Moniture[sic.] Ledge about 200 ft. west of the Gould & Curry claims. Printed by Sam. Wasserman from his office at the International Hotel. 14 x 8.5" 2) June 7th, 1862 indenture between Wasserman and William Lawson for one undivided interest of 5 feet in the Birdsall Co. claim on the Morrison Quartz Ledge. Printed by Sam. Wasserman from his office at the International Hotel. 14 x 8.5" Wasserman is listed in the 1864 Collins VC directory as operating a Cigars & Stationery business at the corner of Union and C (the International Hotel). F. Birdsall created the Gold Canyon Toll Road in 1863. According to Annual Mining Review and Stock Ledger, 1876, F. Birdsall & Co. operated the Lyon Mill & Mining Company in Dayton, Nevada.
