We can find records of an IM Burchard serving as a Union soldier, Captain 2nd Regiment Louisiana Cavalry. The 2nd Regiment Louisiana Cavalry was organized at New Orleans, La., November 25, 1863, as 3rd Louisiana Infantry. Attached to Defenses of New Orleans, Dept. of the Gulf. Consolidated with 1st Louisiana Cavalry September 7, 1864. The San Francisco Accumulating Fund Association was a savings bank established in 1854.
