Official Report of the Debates and Proceedings in the Constitutional Convention of the State of Nevada: Assembled at Carson City, July 4th, 1864, hardbound original copy missing frontispiece, title page and pp1 and 2. Missing index pages after 940 (after "state, aid...") Scribbling throughout front and back cover areas. in pencil by Martin family children, probably 19th century. Martin family in Carson were prominent merchants.
Only three entries for Orion Clemens, pp1, 2 and 7. Much on the Pacific Railroad. Several entries on mines and mining. Nothing on the soon to be proposed Carson City Mint. The index, while missing a few pages from the end, is worth the price in gold. It is very detailed for the advanced researcher.
This is a very rare book of the last dealings of the Territorial legal maneuverings leading to statehood that year (1864). Brown leather boards.
