No. 445, issued for 1892 to George Sanderson, president of the Williamsport & North Branch Railroad. Signed by V.H. Pease as general manager. Ornate logo. Printed on cardstock. Minor wear. Information on this stage was very hard to find. However, V.H. Pease was also the general manager of the Nevada Stage Company which operated in California and offered trips to Yosemite in the 1880s via Sonora, Columbia, Milton and Chinese Camp. It is likely that the California & Nevada Stage Company is the later incarnation. We find V. H. Pease applying for and winning mail routes all over the West from 1882 to 1886. These include: Reno to Susanville, Eureka to Diamond (Agent), Bullionville to St. Thomas (Agent), Austin to Grantville (Agent), Sodaville to Belmont, Pioche to Taylor via Royal City, Tybo to Tem Piute via Reveille, etc. Additional routes and history are included.
