Kilburn stereoview #8198, Krupp's Great Exhibit of Guns, Columbian Exposition. Many cannons, including the world's largest cannon, featured behind a group of men (including Friedrich Alfred Krupp). The Krupp family had a 400 year reign in Germany, leaders in steel, artillery, and ammunition production, and later being central to weapons development and production in both world wars. The Krupp Pavilion at the fair housed the world's largest cannon, the barrel of which weighed just over 240,000 pounds, was 46 feet long, 6.5 feet in diameter at the breech, and had a 16.54 inch muzzle opening.
