This 1912 calendar contains an art print lithograph of "When the Indian Worked" by artist Edgar Samuel Paxson. He was a western artist best known for his painting of "Custer's Last Stand" and he died in Missoula, Montana in 1919. A Paxson mural of Lewis and Clark is painted in the lobby of the Missoula County Courthouse. The calendar was advertising the City Carriage and Wagon Shop for general blacksmithing and horseshoeing. Good condition, tape residue at the tear-away date section and chip out of lower right corner. ;
