A trio of three different Gold Rush documents from Western states. The first is an assessment filing for a mining claim owned by the young silver mining company in the Tintic mining district January 1876, signed by district recorder AG Butherland. The second document is an 1863 territory of Montana Madison County recorder's office from Virginia City certifying that Stephen Edwards has recorded a claim in the Hot Springs district, signed by Robert Hill the County recorder. Printed by the Vedette Print press, with the vignette of a river and a mining operation. The third document is a choice territory of Colorado, County of Park document showing that Samuel Taylor is the owner of a mining claim on the Orphan Boy Lode in the mosquito district, May 1864 signed by Samuel Peyer. The document is also notable because of two choice revenue stamps in the upper left corner of the document. The Orphan Boy was a key mine for number of years. These three important Western mining documents are framed in a frame approximately 13.5 x 17", matted. A choice representation of Western mining, very pictorial. (Potter Collection) Date: Location: HWAC# 59368
