1) COD Cons. Cert. #4954, issued at Goldfield, NV. For 100 shares to David Pfeiffer. Incorporated in 1908. This company was a merger of the Goldfield C.O.D. and the Gold Bar Mining Co. The company was tightly held and controlled by the famous Goldfield Consolidated Mining Company. The claims formed a compact group, 90 acres at Goldfield. Property had a 350' shaft and several thousand feet of workings by 1916. 2) South Nevada Copper. # 191 for 500 shares to A. R. Mensch on December 20, 1906. Three small mining vignettes. Signed by Prior and Hobbs: both local businessmen in Goldfield! This well hyped mining company proved to be a quick bust! 3) Goldfield, Nevada. # 216, issued for 100 shares to Herbert Marks in 1907. In the 1910 Mines Directory, John Sparks (Nevada governor at the time) is listed as president. Company had about 1,000 acres of claims in Goldfield, Tonopah, Lida, Liberty, and Yerington Districts in Nevada. A John H. Reniger was convicted of mail fraud a few years later! 4) Gold Mountain Hillside. # 216 for 75,000 shares issued to W. B. Boardman in 1907. That is one large junk of stocks! Signed by Boardman on reverse. The Appendix to Journals of Senate and Assembly" Nevada, 1913"references the location as Goldfield. However, there was a Gold Mountain Mining District (the Divide) between Tonopah and Goldfield?
