Collected by Jay Thornton at Humboldt Wells. Humboldt Wells was the name of the area when the immigrant wagons came through. It was on the Humboldt River and there were wells to replenish water supplies. Over the years, the name was shortened to Wells, Nevada. Jay Thornton was the premier digger in the Wells / Deeth area.
