This lot has over 110 rounds of 7.62 X 54 mmR ammunition. This round was used in the Model 1891 Mosin Nagant rifle of the Russian army. The Winchester model 1895 is also chambered for this cartridge. This round was once very popular among long range shooters as well as hunters in the USA. There are about 40 rounds of FMJ (full metal jacketed) bullets, about 75 steel tipped bullets, and several what appear to be hand-loaded rounds. A favorite among Russian snipers and American long range shooters are the 7N1 rounds marked with "188". Many of these rounds are marked "188 61" where 61 indicates the year the round was made in this case 1961. The 7.62 X 54 R is a unique round where the "R" stands for rimmed and it is a chamfered rim at that. These rounds are sold for collectability purposes only. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, or Hawaii. No international sales. Additional shipping fees apply. Please see photos for details. (ref. Cartridges of the World, 847).
