Meyer Vaisman is an artist born in Caracas, Venezuela, of Lithuanian-Jewish descent who was known to hire street artists to render his own caricature images. He would then incorporate those caricatures on his own canvasses in juxtaposition with patterns from commercially available fabrics (see https://www.artinamericamagazine.com/reviews/meyer-vaisman/).
The origin of these seven brass coins is unknown, but the obverse incorporates one of the Vaisman caricatures that appears in some of his paintings, and the reverse is a somewhat "NSFW" image of the artist and a female model with the artist's palette being held up by... well, not by his hands... see the photo for details. The coin is denominated with the value of "ONE DROOG," but it is unknown how these were distributed or exchanged with anything other than novelty value. These come from the liquidation of Northwest Territorial Mint. City: State: Date: 1989 HWAC# 80201
