"A Camp Cook's Troubles" by Franz Trevors after a painting of the same title by Charles Marion Russell whose painting done in 1912. Trevors makes changes to distinguish his painting from Russell's--not doing a direct copy. In this piece Trevors' bucking horse has its rear toward the viewer, while in Russell's piece the horse's rear is facing away. Also, the cowboys to the left of the bronco are in different positions and the cook's apron is a Pillsbury sack upside down. Painting has cracks in paint, an old piece, 5' x 8', very large, framed. State: Nevada City: Date: 1944 FHWAC#: 42235
