Extremely rare. Datelined: Boca Aug. 27th, 1879. A McIntosh, Successor to Boca Mill Company, Boca Station, C.P.R.R. Wholesale Dealer. $408.90 of goods (ties) sold to the Savage Mining Company (located in Virginia City, NV). Signed by McIntosh. Upper left corner missing. More pieces missing along top. Soiling along top. Boca, CA, located where at the mouth of the Little Truckee River, was originally a construction camp for the Central Pacific Railroad. Demand for wood and ice led to its development as a railroad settlement. The town site was damaged by fire in 1904 and the remaining structures demolished in 1939 when the Boca Dam was built. This is the only one of these billheads we have ever seen. [http://truckeehistory.org/historyArticles/history13.htm]City: BocaCounty: NevadaState: CADate:
