This is a salesman’s sample (model) of a carbide lamp where the model has been cut in half to show the inner workings. It appears that the bottom portion is intentionally missing. There are no manufacturer marks anywhere, including on the top or the buckle. This unusual lamp is not found in Clemmer or Thorpe. The buckle leads us to hypothesize that it might be a driver's lamp, buckled to the front of a car. Hopefully, one of the carbide lamp experts will know what this unusual lamp is. ID#43957
