Silver drachm with the bee on one side and a stag on the other. Rare in this condition (VF). The image of the bee was the symbol of the goddess Artemis, the patron deity of Ephesus; and a symbol of the fertility of the land and the industry of the city. The stag on the reverse is also connected to Artemis, who was often depicted hunting stags.
