Piano sheet music titled ASARCO Foxtrot, dedicated to W. H. Loerpabel, written by Teodulo Gasca. Outside cover shows a photograph of the Tiro General Mine in Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, which was acquired by Asarco in 1911. W. H. Loerpabel was a mining engineer and the general manager for South America for Asarco and lived in rural San Luis Potosi for many years. Upon his return to the States he settled in Tucson, Arizona, into a home originally designed as the personal residence of renowned Tucson architect Josias Joesler. The Loerpabel's home was featured in the Tucson Citizen in a December 1958 article. The home still exists. Loerpabel was later listed as one of the Outstanding Residents of Tucson's Blenman-Elm Neighborhood 1903-1960 when that area was seeking designation in the National Register of Historic Places in the early 2000s. So, tickle the ivories with this jaunty foxtrot and play a piece of musical mining history. Folded, the piece is 9-3/8 x 12-3/8 inches. Overall in good condition.
