Collection of 10 exchange notes from Adams & Co. They are from major California Gold Rush towns including Sacramento (1851 and 1855), Marysville (1853), Sonora (1852), Placerville (1853), Montezuma City (1853), Mokelumne Hill (1854), Stockton (1853), Auburn (1852), and San Francisco (1852). These exchange notes show how Adams & Co. got into the major Gold Rush towns to become a competitor to Wells Fargo & Co. These note all have a very nice vignette of gold miners cleaning out a sluice box. Good condition. California
