Lot of six highly graded tokens from Adams Dry Goods of New York City's "Ladies Mile." Three are red vulcanized rubber, good for 5c, all graded MS 64 by NGC. Three are blue vulcanized rubber, good for 10c, one graded MS 63, two AU 58. Samuel Adams emigrated from Canada to the Colorado silver rush, then to New York City in 1885. By 1900, he had built 675 Sixth Avenue: a six-story Beaux Arts structure of cast iron and masonry, with four giant limestone columns on its facade and a magnificent interior courtyard extending to a skylight at roof level. The ground floor is now home to Trader Joe's.
