Lot of 8. Five are frank (free) annual passes for packages, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1916 , 1917. All to WW Fulmer, general purchasing agent for Wells Fargo & Company. Three other cards: 1915 calendar advertising travelers' cheques; message about Prepaid Labels; and 1917 message the annual franks are extended. The Adams Express Company, founded in 1854, was one of the major American express shipping firms that specialized in transporting parcels, valuables, and financial instruments across the growing United States. Headquartered in Baltimore and later New York, it became a dominant force in express delivery alongside Wells Fargo and American Express, especially during the Civil War when it carried money and supplies for soldiers. Though it ceased express operations in 1918 after government consolidation of rail express services, Adams Express continued as an investment trust, evolving into today's Adams Funds.
