4 articles recovered from the Easton trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. 1.) Women's leather gloves 8.25" long, 2" wide, middle finger length 3". This pair has not been conserved like the clothing. Some salts on surface, stiffness. drawstring closures at the wrists. 2.) Pair of Addie Easton's handkerchiefs, both about 20 x 20 inches, not fully unfolded since 1857 until by our photographer in 2022. Contains significant deep-water bottom sediment. Degradation has occurred to both pieces, one much more than the other. One has a bit of fancy edge patterns. 3.) Pair of stockings, stained, Easton trunk, 16" long, 8" foot. Pair of parallel red lined near the top of the ankle.

Provenance: SS Central America Collection
