This small handbook is titled "Advice to Soldiers" by W.W. Hall MD. At 2.25 in. X 3 5. in. Dr. Hall served as the surgeon for the 6th Wisconsin Infantry during the Civil War. The cover is embossed with a Shield and 13 stars on a blue background. The book is 16 pages with the last page for spiritual guidance. On page 13, line item #27. "If wet to the skin by rain or by swimming rivers, keep in motion until the clothes are dried, and no harm will result". Good advice. The cover is not firmly attached.
