Rare. No. 51, issued for one share in Talladega on July 2nd, 1855. Signed by president John Moore and secretary Saylor. Not cancelled. Black ornate border with mine hoisting vignette. Folds, pinholes, chip at fold. 7 x 11" According to a Sept. 25, 1855 article in the Jacksonville Republican, the company operated a mine at Talladega and had just found black oxide of copper. They were suspending operations at their Hatchet Creek and Monument Hill to focus on the Talladega Mine and not interfere with water flow.
