Rare. Location: Taylor District, White Pine Co., Nevada (printed at bottom center). Inc. Dec. 1875. No. 453, issued for 20 shares to SB Lyon on June 3rd, 1876 in San Francisco. Signed by president Martin White and secretary Lyttleton Price. Not cancelled. Black border and print, tree vignette. Printed by Le Count Bros., SF. Many folds and creases, heavy toning. 4.5 x 9.5" Taylor was discovered in 1872. Martin White also owned the Martin White Company which bought the Taylor Mining Company in 1875. Taylor didn't take off as a mining camp until 1880. Now a ghost town.
