Three examples of the Alaska gold tokens sold at the 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition in Seattle. Two are 1/4 DWT (10 mm; 0.3 grams), one is 1/2 DWT (12 mm; 0.8 grams). A 1 DWT size was also made: the set of three sold for $2.50 a set at the Expo. Designed by Jules Charbneau at Ye Old Curiosity Shop in Seattle WA as the official gold coins of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific-Exposition. Struck from Alaska Gold. Privately issued by M.E. Hart Co., San Francisco, sponsors of many gold tokens between 1908 and 1915.
