Located in the Summit District near Kingston, Lander County. No. 73, issued for 175 shares to MJ Goodfellow in SF in 1863. Signed by president WH Ladd and secretary Dent. 25 cent revenue stamp. Folds, creased corner. 4 x 9" On April 13, 1864 the Daily Alta California reported on the Alhambra, Gem and Osceola properties. The Alhambra have been running a tunnel through hard rock day and night for months at a cost of $25 to $40 per foot. They are within a few feet of their ledge. Once hit, they expect to impress the natives. The lode is 12 feet wide and will assay up to $1,000 a ton! Kingston as the principal city in the Summit District. It was an early gold and silver camp located in the Big Smoky Valley east of Austin and north of Round Mountain.
