On the Great Northern Railway between Butte & Helena was the Alhambra Hot Springs offering vapor, mud & private plunge baths inside the Hotel. M. J. Sullivan & W. C. Fenlon were the proprietors. This 14 x 11 inch broadside with photograph of the lodge was printed by McKee Printing Company. Some edge tears. Alhambra began in the early 1880's as the site of seven coke ovens which were built to help process the gold & silver being mined nearby. A few years later, after the arrival of the Montana Central Railway in 1888, the Alhambra Hot Springs were developed as a resort which featured the Alhambra & Sunnyside hotels. The resort lasted until 1959, when a fire destroyed the Sunnyside hotel. [ Montana
