Ethan Allen joined forces with the Thurber Company in the 1830-40’s era to produce a six barrel percussion double action only gun that was for personal protection. This gun competed directly with the Colt Paterson Revolver and was said by Mark Twain that “The only one safe when all six barrels accidentally go off at once is the intended target” .These were intended to be a close quartered personal defense weapon as there is no aiming sights. This particular gun is known as the Baby Dragoon as opposed to the larger version known simply as the Dragoon size. This is the 31 caliber version as opposed to the larger 36 caliber pepper-box. This gun is all original with nice engraved frame and beautiful burl wood style handle and excellent functioning action. Coincidentally Colt’s guns were also in 31 and 36 caliber.
