American Aluminum Co., incorp in Michigan in 1877, issued to John H. Rogers for 150 shares at Detroit, 1887, signed by J.W. Smith as president. I/uc. This light weight metal was first extracted from ores in the 1830s, but not able to be made into commercial products successfully until about 1889, two years after this cert was issued.
