Dealer lot of four books.
A) Country Homes of Famous Americans by Oliver Bronson Capen with an Introduction by Thomas Wentworth Higginson, published by Doubleday, Page & Company in 1905. This book contains descriptions and photographs of the homes of famous Americans including George Washington, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Washington Irving, Horace Greeley, Thomas Jefferson, and more. 14.5 x 10.5, 176 pages, good condition, spine is becoming loose.
B) The Century Dictionary Atlas, c. 1890s. This atlas has color maps of the United States and the world. 11.5 x 8.5, poor condition, covers, spine and title page are missing, top page edges have been burned.
C) Scrapbook with journal and magazine clippings. Some of these clippings are from Popular Science Monthly and are related to model ship building and chemistry experiments. This scrapbook also has many clippings of political cartoons drawn by W. Heath Robinson, an English cartoonist known for his humorous drawings. 13.25 x 10.5, good condition.
D) The Cherries of New York by U.P. Hedrick, Report of the New York Agricultural Experiment Station for the Year 1914.
