This is a brass medal commemorating the Bicentennial of the American Revolution. The envelope is postmarked July 4, 1972, in Williamsburg, Virginia, and has four 8-cent Colonial American Craftsmen stamps. Inside is a sealed plastic packet with a 38mm shiny brass medal bearing the profile of George Washington on the obverse and the Sons of Liberty Tree on the reverse. On the other side of the sealed packet is a 37 mm white plastic token with the Bicentennial logo printed on it in blue on both sides.

Two inserts describe the Craftsman stamps, the Liberty Tree, the Stamp Act, and the Jean Antoine Houdin bust of George Washington from which the obverse design was adapted.

This is from the liquidation of Northwest Territorial Mint. Date: City: Williamsburg State: Virginia HWAC# 77119
