Lot of Eighteen. The earliest is a Connecticut Gazette and the Universals Intelligencer. The lead article is on the “Liberty of Conscience and Civil Establishments of religion.” The top add is for Mumfords and Rodman selling Demarara Rum! Liquor always sells! Also Connecticut Journals from 1793 and 4 with a reprint of the Constitution of France. Connecticut Currant of 1786. The Spectator of New York 1799; Salem Gazette 1799; the Minerva of Dedham Massachusetts, Buonaprte in Cairo; Columbian Centinel 1792 to 1800, with State of the Union message; Columbian Repository 1802 and 1807, Hudson, New York; The Spectator 1800, “The commanders of all ships and vessels of war belonging to the navy are strictly enjoyed and required to show in themselves good example of virtue, honor, patriotism and subordination (new law passed by Congress); Worcester Gazette 1802 the potential deleterious results of the French Constitution to the United States. Includes a few era magazines. ONE FAVORITE IS THE 1787 CONNECTICUT CURRANT. It has an article on the reward to farmers after the Revolutionary War. Overall in very nice condition for newsprint material that is over 200 years old! We have handled as little a possible to preserve the wonderful condition of these old papers.
