This is a lot of 36 rounds of .41 Short ammunition. This round was designed in 1863 for the Remington Model 95 double derringer, and later for makers of other derringers as well. There is no box for these rounds but they are unique because the cases are rim-fire with a "V" headstamp indicating the maker as Navy Arms Company and made of copper-not brass. The age of these bullets is unknown, however, the use of copper as a bullet case was abandoned after the battle of the Little Big Horn when it was discovered that copper rounds were difficult to extract from the chamber. The lead bullets are only lightly oxidized. If you have that collectible derringer, here is your ammo. Additional shipping and handling charges may apply.
