He also served as a US Senator for Colorado. The Anaconda Mine was inc. June 1892. Hills lists its 1899/1900 properties as the Lone Star, Lone Star No. 2 and No. 3, Rustler, Puffer, Anaconda, Grover Cleveland, Superior, Excelsior, Great View, Hub, Little Mack, and more on Gold Hill.
