Two masks framed in an elegant wooden case, 29 x 18 inches and 3 inches tall. Made in 1977 as a consigned art piece. Made of caribou hide, seal skin, and artic fox fur. For 50 years the Nunamiut of Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska, have been making skin masks by a technique that they invented, casting wet caribou skins on wooden molds.
