Antiochus VII Euergetes, nicknamed Sidetes (from Side), ruler of the Hellenistic (Greek) Seleucid Empire, reigned from 138 to 129 BC. He was the last Seleucid king of any stature. His coins featured his profile and various Greek gods. This tetradrachm from Tyre is very fine, with eagle reverse. 12.81 gr.,, 28 mm.
