A pair of antique bags, likely dating c.1910s-1930s, from the Iron Mule Mining Company and Riverside Portland Cement Company. Date is estimated based on the establishment of Riverside Portland Cement, which occurred in 1915. The Iron Mule bag is made of canvas, with 'IRON/MULE/MINING/CO.' on the front and a note requesting the bag be returned to Security Pacific National Bank on the back. The Riverside bag is a coarse-woven bag with a faded triangular logo bearing the company name on the front.
From the Palazzo collection.
