19th C. "The Jewett" Humidor Buffalo, NY. Great humidor crafted of oak, steel, brass & milk glass with two doors (most models have a single door).The inside sides and top are glass lined. Wire racks on bottom to place the cigars on. The humidor is in very good condition. Nice addition for your collection. 17.5" x 22" x 13.25". Brass name plate on inside right door. Hewitt served as president and general manager of the John C. Jewett & Son company from 1885 to 1917. From 1917 to 1924 he continued his position with the Jewett Refrigerator Company which was located at 27 Chandler street.
