This is an under-hammer percussion boy's rifle about .50 cal. This little under-hammer gun has a maple dark stained stock, cracked at the wrist; and a hand-made under-hammer lock. The architecture is from the 1850's either Ohio or Illinois, maker unknown. 14 5/8 in. barrel. No attempt has been made to fire this rifle. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, or Hawaii.
