Beautiful and rare Cripple Creek district mining stock.

The Apothecaries Gold Mining company stock certificate No. 1071, incorporated in Colorado. Issued to W.H. McIntyre for 1000 shares on April 6, 1898 in Colorado Springs. Signed by S.B.W. Smith (president) and Frank Herou(?) (secretary). Ornate blue border, blue on white. Gold seal. Certificate bears the iconic vignette, finely detailed, of an apothecary's scale with beacon on top (top left). Printer was Telegraph Printing Co. Mines included the Chicago, Red Mountain, as well as several others in the Cripple Creek mining district. VF.
