The Apple Annual was held in downtown Watsonville, California for just a few years. 157 medals for gold and silver awards were reported to have been produced for local jeweler Geo. P. Martin whose signature appears along the reverse edge. The reverse is unengraved. Rare. 51mm. Gold-Plated-Brass. Unc. News reports from the period discuss gold and silver medals. This must be one of the "gold" medals, but is clearly plated. Possibly struck by Mayer & Bro in Seattle.
