# 383 for 200 shares to Adolph Heller. Signed by president WF Simmons and Robert S Disney. Dateline 1898. Incorporated 1897. Eagle vignette. Black and brown on white. Very fine (some staining top). In 1897 Dr. Ernest Rowe and WM Scott, mining expert, went to Alaska for this company to scout a new mining field. It was previously unknown and they are sure it will be bigger than the Yukon strike. There is no trading post within 500 miles of where they head. They will create a city and call it Netherton and it is sure to be bigger than Dawson! [Morning Astorian, Astoria, Oregon] Scott reported back in 1898, around the time our cert was sold, about the richness of the Koyukuk strike. He reports that they took out $30,000 in gold in two weeks. That makes this stock quite a buy. But this is also the last we find of this company in newspapers. [newspapers.com] Ken Prag Collection
